Support for any issues if the PINpads do not operate after being connected successfully to the computer would be done by PC-EFTPOS or the financial institution that issues the PINpad.
Install
For the configuration you will probably require assistance from your bank or PC EFTPOS as there are many methods that can be used for the bank connection.
- After installing the setup file downloaded from the link above, it should create a C:\PC_EFT directory.
- For cloud users, you need to install the file on every local workstation that has a pinpad. Do not attempt to install on the server. You will not be able to use it on stations that do not have pinpads even if you are using card not present transactions.
- For On Prem users install on your work station.
- You need to register the csdeft.ocx. To do this open a command box.
- Type Windows-R, CMD, then type
- C:
- CD \PC_EFT
- REGSVR32 CSDEFT.OCX

As above
- You will need license codes for Payment Processing PCEFTpos.
- In the Setup Wizard, select the Payment Processing Menu, pc EFTPOS tab
- Check Use PC EFtPOS

- Use card reader on Pinpad must be checked. The option to use an external card reader is no longer supported.
- Then on the Point of Sale Devices menu, ensure that this is configured for using the Remote Point of Sale Device manager.
- On your local workstation, you will need to configure the Windward Remote POS Device manager (WindwardPOS.exe) to connect to System Five on the Cloud
- Select the PC EFTPOS tab. If you don't have this tab, then either WindwardPOS.exe is out of date, or you do not have csdeft.ocx installed and registered correctly - see above. The events tab will show you any EFTPOS errors trying to load the csdeft control.
- Set the PIN Pad Port
- Select your printer. The receipt will print directly from your local workstation, not from the server. This will print faster and reduce the chances of problems. A receipt copy will still be sent to System Five.
- If you are going to be using Card not present transactions, check Allow Screen Prompt for Card Number.
- The Setup and Pinpad config should have been taken care of when you ran the eftpos config wizard above.
You are now ready to perform a test transaction.
Trouble shooting
pinpad offline
- You have selected the wrong pinpad port in the config wizard.
- The PC-EFTPOS system is not running. You should see a couple of icons in your tooltray. EFT-Server UI and PC-EFTPOS Client
Card Not Present Transactions
Card not present transactions are telephone, ecommerce or recurring transactions. The merchant generally accepts all liability for these transactions.
For On Prem users, you can enter the card number and expiry date directly on the credit card authorization screen.
For On Cloud users, On the payment authorization screen, select the Manual Key check box and then press authorize.
On you local workstation a window should then popup asking for you to enter the card details. You may have to minimize the remote desktop client.
Enter the card details and press Ok.
