How to Access the Ideas Board
Go to the Ideas Board login page: ? https://ideas.windwardsoftware.com
If you already have an account, sign in using your email and password.
If you are a new user, click “Don’t have an account yet? Sign up” to create one.
Common Sign‑Up Issues and How to Fix Them
❗ “Your email domain does not allow you to self‑register”
Why this happens: Your company’s email domain is not currently approved for automatic (self‑service) registration.
What to do:
- Complete the access request form at windwardsoftware.com/ideas
- Our team will review your request and send you an invitation to join the Ideas Board
Once invited, you’ll be able to complete your registration.
❗ My email address isn’t recognized
Why this happens:
- You may be using a personal email address (such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
- The email domain is not affiliated with an active Windward customer or partner account
What to do:
- Make sure you are signing up with your work email address
- If you believe your company should have access, or you use a free email address for work purposes, simply submit an access request using the access request form at windwardsoftware.com/ideas
- Our team will review your request and send you an invitation to join the Ideas Board
Once invited, you’ll be able to complete your registration.

Do I Have to Pay to Use the Ideas Board?
No. Participation is completely free.
Submitting ideas, voting, and commenting helps Windward understand which product improvements matter most to customers.
If you are interested in accelerating an enhancement through paid custom development, please contact your Account Manager to discuss available options.
What Happens After I Submit an Idea?
Every idea goes through a structured review process to ensure feedback is properly evaluated and communicated.
Idea Statuses You May See
- Gathering Requirements – We’re collecting details and may ask follow‑up questions
- Reviewing Existing Solutions – We’re checking if a current feature or workaround already exists
- Exploring Design Options – We’re evaluating how the idea could be implemented
- Workaround Exists – A temporary solution is available while a permanent one is considered
- New – Initial review is complete; not yet scheduled
- Planned – Scheduled for development
- In Progress – Actively being worked on
- Pending General Release – Will be included in an upcoming release
- Deployed – Fully released and available (version details will be added in comments)
- Future Consideration – Valid idea, but not currently scheduled
- Already Exists – The functionality already exists; instructions will be provided
- Will Not Do – Not a fit for the product; the reason will always be explained
