Overview
When Windward Software deploys Datacap Netepay for processors such as Worldpay US. Windward Software datacap administrators can activate customesr for Datacap Reporting Activation. This will provide access to the datacap reporting dashboard which can be helpful when doing reconciliation or tracking down a reporting issue. Datacap Reporting can also provide access to transaction details and the virtual terminal to manually process a transaction.
How to request a users access
Credit Card reporting is confidential and sensitive information.
- Contact Windward Support to have a Datacap Administrator process the activation.
- You will need to provide.
- First and Last Name
- User email address
- If you have multiple business locations, confirm which locations your requested user should have access to.
- The user being added will receive an activation email for the portal.
How to access the portal
Once a user has been activated and received their email. They can then use their credentials to sign into https://portal.dcap.com/Account/Login and view the accounts they have received access to.
How to get transaction detail
Getting access to your transaction detail can help you reconsile transactions.
- Sign into https://portal.dcap.com/ with your credentials
- From the left ribbon bar click on Transactions
- Choose Transaction Detail
- Use the filters to apply date ranges to the detail listed.
How to use the Virtual Terminal
Your account should be configured with a virtual terminal when you were onboarded. This can allow you to make adjustments, void payments or create offline payments if having issues with your pinpad processsing.
- Sign into https://portal.dcap.com/ with your credentials
- From the left ribbon bar click on Transactions
- Choose Virtual Terminal
- If you have more than one account type you will need to select the Merchant ID for processing
- Enter in the information required and click the "Process Transaction" button.
