Mapping a drive means that you’re going to make a specific drive available to other users connected to a common network.
Mapping network drives, as well as troubleshooting network drives, are network related activities and as such are required be performed by your Network Administrator. Mapped drives that go 'missing' can be a sign of a larger network issue.
