Overview
We want to inform you about an important change Microsoft is making to the remote access tools used to connect to our virtual desktop environment. Microsoft has announced that the current Remote Desktop client for Windows will reach end of support on March 27, 2026. After this date, the client will no longer receive updates. Microsoft is transitioning organizations to the new Windows App, which will become the supported client for Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and other remote services.

What we’re doing:
We are actively working with Microsoft on a full migration and upgrade plan to move to the new platform. This work includes evaluating compatibility, preparing our environment, and ensuring that the transition will be as smooth as possible for all users.
What this means for you:
- No action is required from you right now.
- Your ability to connect will remain a priority, even if our internal migration timeline extends beyond Microsoft’s date.
- We will provide clear instructions when changes are required.
We appreciate your patience as we work through this important upgrade. Our goal is to ensure a reliable, secure, and improved remote access experience, and we will continue to share updates as the project progresses. If you have questions, please reach out to our support team.
