Overview

The Remote Desktop application for System Five on Cloud may require reinstalling the application.  If you receive the error 'The application cannot start" uninstall and reinstall the application.

⚠️ We are aware of a Microsoft Remote Desktop issue caused by the latest update to their version 1.2.6186. Our recommendation until there is a fix to this problem is to Disable UDP
 in the registry.


Uninstall and Reinstall Remote Desktop

To resolve this, uninstall the application through Control Panel>Programs and Features>Uninstall a Program.

  1. Uninstall Remote Desktop from "Add or remove programs" in your Start menu.  
    • This step may require your local IT department
  2. Select Remote Desktop and right-click and choose the Uninstall menu.
  3. Once done uninstalling, you can download the latest installer of the remote app from this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/connect-windows-7-and-10 
  4. Download and install the application.
  5. Click the Subscribe button and enter your System Five on Cloud login information (@na.windwardoncloud.com)
